Live Music Night with Sarah Walk, Seafret & Amy Yon

08th Jun 2015

What a feast of exciting new musical talents…

SEAFRET

Hailing from the small town of Bridlington, Jack Sedman and Harry Draper are Seafret, an acoustic duo set for big things. First meeting at an open mic night a few years ago, their material has a beautifully contagious feel. Writing about life as it evolves around them, the two have a rare observational eye – though young, the world is not going to pass them by. After the breakout success of their single ‘Oceans’ (with a video starring Game of Throne’s Maisie Williams), the group have been releasing a steady supply of tracks, with a debut EP due in September.

SARAH WALK

With a distinct androgynous voice and a unique rhythmic piano playing style, Sarah’s music has been said to be “cynically optimistic” and “in your face lyrics with rock music, every bit as raw and passionate as one could hope.” Sarah is newly signed One Little Indian Records (home to Bjork) and currently working on her debut album. We’re very excited to be hosting Sarah’s UK DEBUT performance.

AMY YON

Even though she is only 21 years old Amy has a voice filled with enchantment and wisdom. Brought up as witness to the nightlife of her mum’s pubs and bars from Sommerset to Spain and finally Bristol, Amy’s songs are riddled with anecdotes and wry humour based on the colourful characters she has met on her way. Her sound is reminiscent of a young Stevie Nicks with the glottal growl of Janis Joplin or Etta James. With shows supporting Rhodes, SOAK, Port Isla and forthcoming festival appearances plus support from BBC Introducing she is an artist to keep an eye on. We’re very pleased to be hosting her LONDON DEBUT.
